Teddy Geiger
Indie | Rock | Pop

You may know this young talented Pop-Rock artist from his hit single ”For You I Will” released in 2005. The artist has been on a small hiatus but is currently making his way back in to the music scene. Raised in Upstate New York, Teddy was destined for a career in music. He wrote his first song at the mere age of 10 years old. He continued with music throughout his high school years in a band, who went by the name the ”Faction.”

Geiger was noticed nationwide after being a finalist on VH1’s television series, ’In Search of the Partridge Family’. Teddy was signed to Columbia Records and released his debut album ’Thinking Underage’. Geiger’s album peaked at #8 on US Billboards Top 200 albums chart. Shortly after, Geiger earned a spot touring as an opening act for Hilary Duff. In 2006 he released his second radio single, ”These Walls.” Geiger is praised for his amazing vocals and lyrics. After seeing him live, I have to say he is a truly talented individual.

After touring with Hilary Duff, Geiger found himself starring as a small role on VH1’s original series, ’Love Monkey’. Unfortunately, due to a lack of viewers the series was not renewed for a second season. In 2008, Geiger made his debut in a feature film, ’The Rocker’ co-starring with Emma Stone, Christina Applegate, along with other well known actors.

Currently, Geiger is continuing to work on his music and is in the works of promoting his new album. He is working with Pledge Music to not only help promote and sell his music but also raise money to help save the elephants! Geiger is currently touring with Ryan Cabrera and Tyler Hilton.

Make sure to check out his website for more music and tour info.

Sia
Electronic | Pop | Jazz

Sia, also known as Sia Fuler, is a pop-electronic, jazz, singer-songwriter based out of the lovely "land down under," Australia. She was somewhat destined to take up an interest in music coming from a family of musicians. At a young age, Sia, attended school in Italy where she came across a karaoke bar. While at the karaoke bar she decided she didn't like any of the music selections offered so she sang "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers acapella. A local DJ jumped at the opportunity to have her record tracks with him because of her unique and rare voice.

Her music started to take off! Unfortunately, due to some difficult circumstances Sia went through a six year period of hard times. Luckily for us she got back in the music scene. In 2000, Sia, signed a record deal with Sony's sub label Dance Pool.  Soon after Sia left Sony due to a dispute with the label and moved on to Go! Beat Records part of UMG. Later on, Sia parted ways with Go! Beat Records due to poor album promotion.  While signed to Go! Beat Records Sia released her third full-length album called, 'Colour the Small One.' Her single, "Breathe Me" of that album, received a lot of international play and was featured on HBO TV Series "6 Feet Under and was also used in a Victoria Secret Fashion Show. With the attention that Sia's single was getting, Astralwerks rereleased her album.

She has since then released two full-length albums and recorded tracks for feature films. After collaborations and writing for other artists such as; Rita Ora, Rihanna, Ke$ha, Christina Aguilera, and Ne-Yo, Sia really has made a name for herself in the United States and globally. She is best known for her amazing vocals in David Guetta's "Titanium" and Flo'Rida's single "Wild Ones,"  (which are both tracks on my ipod!). Sia has been nominated and has won a series of music awards over the last few years. She is far from being done in her musical journey.

Must downloads:
"Clap Your Hands"
"Titanium"
"Wild Ones"
"Soon We'll Be Found"

Olly Murs Pop

Oliver Stanley, best known as Olly Murs, is no longer any hidden talent to the world. English singer, songwriter, and television personnel rose to fame after finishing as runner up on "The X Factor" in 2009.

The British star, once dreamed about being a professional football (soccer) player but due to a serious injury his career goals fell short. Luckily for us, Murs came across a karaoke machine at a local bar and well, the rest is history. Before competing on The X Factor, Murs had no professional training , which made him that much more of a phenomenon.

Unlike many competition finalists who end up disappearing overtime in the public eye, Olly has managed to stay on the top of his game. Murs signed to Epic Records in the United Kingdom, Columbia Records in the United States, and Syco Music. Currently, his hit single 'Troublemaker' featuring Flo'Rida continues to rise on the Top 40 charts.

Murs debut album 'Right Place Right Time' just released on April 16 of this year. Make sure to check out his tour dates and other information on Olly Murs Official Website.

Chris Wallace
Pop | Indie

Chris Wallace's single "Remember When (Push Rewind)" is another pop ballad for my anticipated summer playlist.
The once lead vocalist of The White Tie Affair, made a wise decision to set foot on his own solo journey. His debut album, "Push Rewind" dropped this past September via indie label ThinkSay Records.

His autobiographical single, 'Remember When' talks about him dating a girl and when his future with music was looking upward things started to diminish and both parties started parting ways. I think most of all us can relate to Wallace's lyrics in wanting to go back to the beginning and start over again with relationships gone wrong.

His lyrics and music are infectious. Critics have managed to label him as the male version of Katy Perry, I'd say thats quite the compliment. 'Remember When' continues to rise on the charts. I think we can all say we are eager to hear the next single released off his album.

Inna
Electronica | Dance | House | Euro

Inna's most recent single, 'More Than Friends' featuring Daddy Yankee has been on nonstop repeat on my ipod. I came across her youtube channel a few weeks ago while browsing music for my spring break playlist. Inna, born as Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu in Romania, has taken the dance world by storm.

In 2007 Inna was discovered by Marcel Botezan while singing at a market and shortly after was offered a contract with Roton Records based out of Romania. She then signed on to work with producers Play & Win. After a failed attempt of the release of a pop ballads,  Inna found her calling, House music. Her first single, 'Hot' climbed charts all over the world even switching with Ke$ha for the number one spot on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay in 2010. Inna released her third studio album, ' Party Never Ends' in March of this year.

With the music style of David Guetta and Kyle Minogue with a bit pop vocals, Inna makes for a killer artist. Her dance and house music releases; 'More Than Friends', 'Hot', 'Crazy Sexy Wild' to name a few, are must downloads for your summer playlist.
